Our Spiritual Journey

These are exciting times, both in our church and in the world. We are growing and have lots of new things happening. On May 19, 2002 we held our celebration event to kick off our three-year spiritual journey to expand God's vision for our church and to help each parishioner grow closer to God. Our theme is "Building on Jesus, Our Rock".

Our congregation made commitments in three areas of their lives:  Time, Talent, and Treasure.

“But his delight is in the law of the LORD,
And in His law he meditates day and night.”
Psalm 1:2

The Lord asks us to seek Him first.  A commitment in Time is your personal time spent in prayer, Bible study, memorizing Scripture, reading God’s Word or worshipping the Lord.

“Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them…”
Romans 12:6

God has given each of us abilities, talents, and gifts – all for His glory!  A commitment in Talent is to be involved in at least one ministry or outreach of the church.

Everything we have is loaned to us by God.  Even though He owns everything and needs nothing from us, He chooses to place some things in our hands to manage for Him.  If we honor and trust Him, we give back to Him what He has given to us. What we do with our Treasure indicates the condition of our relationship with God.

"But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys
and where thieves do not break in and steal.
For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”
Matthew 6:20,21
